    Staff scan a fingerprint or face at the branch device. Each punch reaches Dawim with the employee, branch and shift attached.

A manager writes to the Dawim bot: "Give me Ahmed's report for this month." The bot replies with a summary (22 days present, 2 late, 0 absent, 6.5 hours overtime) and sends the employee report as a PDF. The manager then asks for today's daily report for Olaya, and the bot sends that PDF too.

Can someone still clock in for a colleague?

No. Every punch is a fingerprint or a face scan, so the person has to be standing at the device. A card or a PIN can be lent. A finger can't.

Which attendance devices work with Dawim?

Dawim connects to ZKTeco and eSSL fingerprint and face devices, and shows each device's status and last sync.

How does the WhatsApp bot know who is asking?

The bot only answers phone numbers registered to a user in Dawim, and every request is logged. Managers ask for reports and approve requests; employees send corrections and leave requests.

Does it handle night shifts, rotations and Gulf work weeks?

Yes. Shifts can run overnight, rotations repeat on their own, and work weeks can run Saturday to Thursday or Sunday to Thursday. Monthly rosters can be painted on screen or imported from Excel.

Can it calculate late and absence deductions?

Yes. You set the allowed minutes, how lateness is deducted (in steps by minutes, or based on wage), how absences are deducted (a day's wage or a fixed amount) and the hourly rate for overtime.

Where is our data stored?

In data centres in the European Union, where GDPR applies, one of the strictest data protection regimes in the world.

Does Dawim work in Arabic?

Yes. Dawim runs in Arabic and English, and each user works in the language they choose. The WhatsApp bot understands both.

How long does it take to get started?

Usually one working day. What sets the pace is how quickly you can send us your data: employees, branches, shifts and devices.

The steps: you share your employee and branch list, we set up your shifts and attendance rules, your devices are connected and staff enrol their fingerprint or face, and you go live.
